November is usually a big release month for books, at least from what I can remember in the last couple of years working at Barnes and Noble, so take that with a grain of salt. I am looking forward to an absurd amount of releases this month, most of them being manga. I won’t list all the manga, as there are sixteen of them, and they are kinda obscure. Otherwise, it is a good mix of young adult and fantasy, with some horror and romance sprinkled in.
Here is my list of new releases I am looking forward to and considering purchasing.
- Dawnbreaker by Jodi Meadows. This is a young adult fantasy and the sequel to Nightrender.
- Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros. If you don’t know that this is the highly anticipated sequel to Fourth Wing, I need to know what rock you’ve been hiding under because it may just save my wallet if I join you.
- Powerless by Lauren Roberts. If I’m not mistaken, this book has already been published before, but she is now redoing the series with traditional publishing. It is a young adult fantasy.
- Nightbane by Alex aster. I have been waiting for this sequel most impatiently for ages! The YA fantasy Lightlark left off on the most atrocious cliffhanger, and I need to know what comes next.
- Tonight, I Burn by Katharine J. Adams. This is a witchy dark fantasy, and I am living for it!
- Hunt on Dark Waters by Katee Robert. It’s the newest Katee Robert book; enough said… But no, this is a paranormal pirate romance. I can’t wait!
- Where He Can’t Find You by Darcy Coates. I love Darcy’s adult horror, so when she announced she would try her hand at a young adult horror, I was immediately on board.
- The Manor House by Gilly MacMillan. This is a psychological thriller and the only one on my list, but I do love a good mind trip.
- Wish of the Wicked by Danielle Paige. Yet another YA fantasy.
- Girl Among Crows by Brendon Vayo. This is the only horror for November, but I am beyond excited for it.
- Swarm by Jennifer Lyle. This is a YA horror, and it hosts killer butterflies and vampires, if I remember correctly.
- The Temple of Fortuna by Elodie Harper. The last of the Wolf Den trilogy set during the heyday of Pompeii.
- Do Your Worst by Rosie Danan. I am here for a grumpy meets sunshine paranormal romance every single time.
- The Legionnaire by Samantha Traunfeld. Something you will quickly learn about me is that I am a sucker for a vampire story.
- The Star and the Strange Moon by Constance Sayer. Constance is always on my radar for her witchy fantasy novels.
- To Kill a Shadow by Katherine Quinn. If I am not mistaken, this YA fantasy will be featured in a bookish subscription box, but I wanted it before I learned that.
- The Kingdom of Sweets by Erika Johansen. Who doesn’t love a dark retelling? I know I do, and this Tale of the Nutcracker retelling will be out just in time for the winter holidays!
- Godly Heathens by H.E. Edgmon. This YA fantasy sounds fantastic, and the lgbtq+ rep in it is supposed to be top-tier.
Now, I tried to put these in order of release date, with the ones at the beginning of the list coming out the soonest and the end of the list being closer to the end of the month. If you would like me to include release dates, let me know, and I can edit those in or just keep them in mind for next month’s anticipated releases.
Until the next page,
Dani
